This job will never be boring because there is always the potential for something to pop up - like this candy mold - that makes me happy just knowing it exists. The JOY that came over me when that thing scrolled into vision!
Love to see it. When I visited Trier, Germany in 2018, the birthplace of Karl Marx, I found a Karl Marx cookie cutter and got it for my progressive neighbor as a gift. He and his GF made delicious Marx-shaped chocolates, along with a custom box, for the holidays.
Told ya! Bunch holds those "eclectic" auctions once a month and there's always a ton of garbage to weed through, but over the years I've found some real treasures in there.
I appreciate that they put McKinley's name in the mold, because otherwise I imagine many people would be like, "Why does this random man have a candy head?"
Yeah, that was super helpful! Usually with unidentified vintage dudes I default to two options: If he's got a mustache, he's Teddy Roosevelt. If he doesn't, he's Nelson. It's usually incorrect but it quiets my mind enough to move on.
If I had unlimited funds I would collect SO MUCH random weird shit. Every post you make awakens some new greedy dragon inside of me. Never stop!

Haa! I love it. I bet the custom box was magnificent.
Wish I could attach a photo here! I'll go through Notes...
I have a huge soft spot for Shanes and Franklin Fountain (I went to college outside of Philly)
I love bringing people from out of town to sample both; it’s like Death by Decadence.
I want to go to there
It's wonderful. And for further indulgence, they have a hot chocolate bar in the back!
Such a gorgeous little shop, Thank you for sharing that and the auction link, looking forward to more jewels!
Thanks - I'm so glad you enjoyed it!!
You were not joking about that auction being random! So much random stuff! The Malm dressers killed me though.
