Oh my god! Aquamarine is my weakness anyway. And, like you, I love the forbidden jolly rancher that is a cabochon cut. Cartier pendant, I would die for you!
That compression pendant! What a fabulous execution!
Oh and I would like the geode necklace and the beetle ring, please.
Thanks for the link to the Trial of the Pxy. Mention of the Company of Goldsmiths sent me on a search for the recent event where a terrorist attacked people on London Bridge and someone subdued him with a chair and a narwhal tusk. It was a decoration from the hall of the Fishmonger's Company.
OH MY GOD. Oh my god. I remember when that happened, but somehow I missed the narwhal tusk/Fishmonger's Hall part of that story! Oh, that's wonderful. Details like that are EXACTLY why I love London. Thank you for passing that along; it truly made my day!
I checked out the link to the Christie's Magnificent Jewels auction and I found it strange that in all the images the jewellery is badly photoshopped onto a model--I guess to give you a sense of scale? But why not have a real photo taken? Or use some other way of demonstrating size? Bad photoshop just looks quite junky and cheap, even if you're Christie's
I'm baffled by that as well. I mean, if the top brass decided to cut corners on smaller auctions, fine - but NOT for Magnificent Jewels! It's awful. And to be honest, I don't trust the proportions when they're photoshopped, so what's the point? Let me see the real thing!
YOU GUYS! I forgot to mention (because it was 2am) that César Baldaccini also designed the trophy for the Césars, the French version of the Oscars! It's cool: https://www.gettyimages.com/detail/news-photo/actor-george-clooney-poses-with-the-cesar-honorary-award-news-photo/645093778?adppopup=true
The tie necklace is giving me ideas, like, maybe I SHOULD encrust my work lanyard in jewels
Dooooo iiiittttttttt
The watermelon tourmaline necklace is stunning!
It is! I’m glad you liked it, too. It’s a great showcase for the tourmaline.

There’s just something about cabochons, isn’t there? I don’t know if it the softness and depth of color or what, but I love them so much.
I also really like how, at different angles, the rock crystal frame on that aqua reflects the color. Such a beautiful piece!
Always a good day when you can successfully use "SMOOSH" in a sentence!

You're welcome!
Yikes
Wow! Some beauties here.
OOOHHH! Both the tie necklace and the aquamarine necklace are completely fab.
