Wow, that Turkish Silver set. Imagine whipping that out after a small dinner party. We'd need some of that coffee that Esky used to bring back from the Columbian mountain farms.
I really enjoyed this deep dive into the art of the Zarf! It reminded me of my grandfather, who had a beautiful turkish coffee set when I was small, and I remember him preparing coffee in it with much ceremony. We are not Turkish, he just loved coffee of any kind that much. I think the turquoise one is probably my personal choice, if we were picking favorites!
Half my husband's family is Palestinian, I've been served coffee and tea in cups with the metal filagree zarfs when visiting them but didn't know they had a special name. None were this fancy, of course, but still much fancier feeling than any mug I've had coffee from. These are beautiful!
Oh, that's wonderful to hear! The whole thought of the ritual behind these cups is so appealing to me... Dedicated vessels for a precious drink meant to be enjoyed with others. I mean, I love a good mug, too, but there's something so special here. I'm glad you get to experience it!

Esky!! Do you still keep in touch with him? He was such a nice guy.
Brb, having "the perfection of well-being is in coffee..." tattooed on my body!
Isn't that wonderful?! Oh and I thought of you when I typed in that title, lol.
*heart eyes* for days over that!

That's lovely; I'm so glad I was able to bring back some good memories for you!
I think my fave is the calligraphy one, although that enameled Morel zarf is glorious.

But seriously, I love these!!
I do, too! I had so much fun researching this. Some of the Swiss ones are seriously obnoxious, lol.
